Frequently asked questions for therapy.
Do you offer virtual, phone, or in-person therapy sessions?
I offer it all! I offer virtual and phone therapy sessions to anyone residing in Ontario and some other select provinces in Canada.
I also offer in-person therapy in Hamilton, Ontario, at an office located at 911 Golf Links Road, Hamilton, ON, L9K 1H9.
What are the fees for your therapy sessions?
The fee for a 50-minute therapy session is $160 and the fee for a 75-minute therapy session is $240. The good news is that psychotherapy in Ontario is now tax-exempt. I also offer a few sliding scale spots to make therapy more accessible, so please feel free to reach out to discuss options that could work within your budget.
Will my insurance cover your psychotherapy services?
While my psychotherapy services are not covered by OHIP, psychotherapy services may be covered by private extended health benefit plans. Therefore, I recommend checking with your insurance provider to see if my services are covered.
Receipts will be sent to you upon payment by email to be submitted to your provider for reimbursement. I do not offer direct billing at this time.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be subject to the full session fee. This policy is in place to ensure more availability for other clients who may need support.
What forms of payment do you accept for therapy?
I accept payment in the form of a credit card or e-transfer, which is due at the end of your session.
How often should I attend therapy?
This really depends on your unique needs, goals, and financial situation. Some people come weekly at the beginning of their treatment to build momentum and a strong rapport. Others prefer to space out their sessions to be bi-weekly or monthly. I am happy to tailor therapy to your needs and preferences!
